Interxion is an internationally active provider of data center space. The data center campus at Bäulerwisenstrasse in Glattbrugg is one of the best-networked in Europe. To increase capacity, the new DataCenter ZUR2 was built under MBA's management. The new building appears as a compact cube with a whitespace area of 7'200 square meters.
MBA realized this project as overall manager and general construction planner in close cooperation with its long-standing planning team. Upon client's request, a total service contractor was commissioned for the technical fit out. The demanding interface management as well as the planning of the construction site logistics, considering the tight space constraints due to the tramline, high-voltage power lines and proximity to the airport, were among the particular challenges of this ambitioned project.
The first development stage was handed over to the end customer on schedule in August 2020.
